SPACE researcher awarded with EAEPE Best Paper Award
The SPACE publication Structural change in times of increasing openness: assessing path dependency in European economic integration reiceived the 2020 EAEPE Kapp Prize, with which the association honors the best published research paper on a theme broadly in accord with the EAEPE Theoretical Perspectives.
In the paper, Claudius Gräbner, Philipp Heimberger, Jakob Kapeller and Bernhard Schütz analyze how an increase in economic integration and, thereby, intra-European competition, affects countries differently and, thereby, aggravates polarization tendencies in the EU. The publication is open access and available here. The publication has also been featured on the Blog Developing Economics (see here).
