SPACE reserachers Matthias Aistleitner and Stephan Pühringer talk about “models without climate change”

SPACE researchers Matthias Aistleitner and Stephan Pühringer contribute to the radio report “Dimensionen” on the Austrian radio station Ö1. They talk about economic models that have blind spots in relation to the climate crisis, how mainstream economics views the climate debate, and why it is not enough to internalise environmental damage as an “externality” in the existing neoclassical model. Matthias Aistleitner also refers to a paper they co-authored which shows that the climate issue tends to be sidelined, especially in the top economics journals, and that heterodox approaches are rarely published.

The report will be available for another 5 days at the following link.
